The PTO's annual walk-a-thon fundraiser is a fun and exciting event that brings the entire school community together to raise money for the benefit of our students. The walk-a-thon is typically held each spring, and it consists of a non-competitive walk around a pre-determined route, with participants of all ages welcome to participate.
The event begins weeks before with fundraising, where participants can collection donations online or enter in-person donations as well as register for their T shirt. Students are incentivized to reach fundraising goals and could win prizes or rewards.
The walk-a-thon is a pledge-based fundraiser, which means that participants gather pledges from friends, family, and community members to support their walk. The money raised from pledges is used to benefit our school, and the funds raised have been used for various projects, such as technology upgrades, playground equipment, and classroom resources.
The event is a great way for the school community to come together to raise money for a good cause, while also promoting healthy activity, school spirit, and community engagement.
We had 71 families participate in this year's Steps Event! Held April 15, 2024, our students raised more than $13,000!
