Prayer and worship are important aspects of our education. They provide opportunities for students to develop a personal relationship with God, to learn about and practice their faith, and to grow in spiritual maturity. Worship services, such as Mass, provide a time for the community to come together and reflect on God's presence in their lives. Additionally, daily prayer and devotions help students to develop a daily habit of connecting with God and seeking his guidance and strength. Furthermore, our school also provides religious education classes in our curriculum to deepen the understanding of the Catholic faith and its traditions. Overall, prayer and worship play a vital role in creating a strong faith-based community within our Catholic school and fostering the spiritual growth of our students.
We have school-wide (K-8th grade) mass once each week as well as alternating weeks by upper and lower grade levels so the homily delivered is age-appropriate.
Second grade preparation classes for first reconciliation and first communion are offered outside of the school curriculum through the Dearborn County Catholics. Sacramental prep courses will be supported by religion courses here at St. Lawrence. Confirmation occurs during the student's freshman year of high school and not affiliated with St. Lawrence's kingergarten-8th grade offering.
St. Lawrence is Lawrenceburg, Indiana's premiere private Catholic school.
