Mrs. Kim Rector will be a fifth grade homeroom teacher this year at St. Lawrence School. She will teach fourth and fifth grade science and social studies, as well as fifth grade religion and writing. Mrs. Rector taught everything from 3rd to 8th grade at St. Mary’s School for the past 13 years. She began her career in 2nd grade for 6 years in Northern Kentucky before moving to Aurora.
Mrs. Rector is originally from California, Kentucky, but is getting close to spending half of her life as a Hoosier. Thomas More College was the place she received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and met her husband. She received her Master’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University. She was lucky enough to stay home with her four children and eventually took them to work with her as she returned to teaching when her youngest was in first grade. That youngest is now entering her second year in college and the oldest is getting married this fall. She and her family are members of St. Mary’s Parish, so you’ll probably see her around. She is looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and meeting new ones!
