Mrs. McCann obtained her teaching licensure from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2010 and began her career at St Nicholas School teaching junior high. After being in a variety of Catholic schools in the tri-state area, she has spent the last four years at St. Cecilia Catholic School in Kentucky, where she taught junior high religion and social studies and grade 5. She was a major contributor in helping St. Cecilia become a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2018-2019.
Mrs. McCann resides in New Alsace, Indiana with her husband of 26 years. Although they are members of All Saints Parish, she is very happy to begin working at St. Lawrence School as the middle school religion teacher. Her greatest asset and joy in life is teaching the faith to young people. Mrs. McCann said that “in a world with such conflicting ideologies, I look forward to bringing solid faith formation rooted in the very truths of our Holy Catholic Church as handed on through scripture and tradition. “
Along with raising her four daughters, one of which has joined the SSVM Sisters in Washington, D.C., she is thrilled to be working with our students at this time.
Mrs. McCann follows what St. Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13. Mrs. McCann believes that with God's grace, we can partner in the journey of helping your child become the saints that God has called him/her to be!
