St. Lawrence School and Parish members who want to help guide the direction of the school have an opportunity to join the School Advisory Team for the 2018-2019 school year.
What is SAT? It is a group of school stakeholders, parents, and staff who serve as advisers to the school principal. The SAT also coordinates various projects to help advance the school's mission: to teach as Jesus taught, instilling Catholic values that emphasize respect for the individual while fostering a love for learning and continuous growth.
SAT needs to fill chair positions including Curriculum, Technology, and Spirituality. We are seeking energetic people with new ideas and a love of St. Lawrence who are willing to serve a term of at least three years.
General responsibilities include attending our monthly meetings typically held the evening of the first Tuesday of the month, lending your input on important issues concerning the school, and assisting in coordinating and executing SAT events, communications, and problem solving. It is a fulfilling way to share your time and God-given talents with our school and church community!
We also need volunteers to step up and join our Bingo Replacement/Major Recurring School Fundraiser Committee. If you enjoy planning events and building relationships, please consider this opportunity.
Applicants for SAT or the fundraiser committee can be parents of students, parish members, retired teachers, local professionals, or anybody who feels they have something to contribute to the betterment of St. Lawrence School.
